Emergency processing is available for dosimeters of participants suspected of receiving overexposure.

  1. Call our Customer Service at 01865 373008.Have the following available:
    • Account number;
    • Name and phone number of the person to be contacted with the dose reading(s);
    • Number and types of dosimeters being returned;
    • Means by which you are shipping the dosimeters;
    • Source of exposure;
    • Any other information you feel pertinent.
  2. Send the dosimeters by express courier to the UK office with an enclosed note giving the name and phone number of the person to contact.
    If possible include a control dosimeter.

  3. Mark the outside of the package: EMERGENCY PROCESSING
    The irradiated dosimeter must be sent separately, if possible with an appropriate control. It should not be returned with other dosimeters.

    For shipments received by 16.00, LANDAUER will report the dose within three days. For neutron dosimeters an extra day is required for processing and assessment.
